Free Written Prophecy is a way that you can hear from the Lord himself about your dreams and about His will for your life. The manifestation of Free Written Prophecy is for “…edification, and exhortation, and comfort” (1 Cor. 14:3b-KJV). Furthermore, when a person receives a prophecy, “…the secrets of his heart will be laid bare…” (1 Cor. 14:25a). It is very important to understand that the manifestation of prophecy, by revealing the secrets of the heart, is designed by God to bring the person to the place that he will “…fall down and worship God, exclaiming, ‘God is really among you!’” (1 Cor. 14:25b). Often a prophecy will have details about a person’s life that, when revealed, help him believe that the Lord knows and understands his dreams personally, and cares for him.

When Joseph experienced God for himself (Genesis 37), there was a profound change in his life. Like many others, he had heard about God for years, but never had a “personal encounter.” When he did, his life changed. At the beginning, the story of Joseph in Genesis 37 is one of favoritism, envy, betrayal and deceit. It’s not until 13 years later that it becomes a story of forgiveness, humility, love and restoration. Yet the end of the story of Joseph is a mirror image of the dreams that he had as a youth — that one day his family would bow before him.
