Anointing Does Not Make You a Leader

Leadership also does not mean the person with the most anointing, because when you look at it, it seems as though Samuel may have been more anointed that Saul. God doesn’t put the most anointed in office. He puts the one that He has set aside for the office. So, anointing does not determine an office. You could be an anointed person and have poor management skills or don’t have leadership capability. John said, “But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.”

Notice the scripture says, “The powers that be are ordained of God not that the powers that be are anointed of God.” They’re ordained. It is God’s will that they be there, not that they have all the knowledge or the anointing. We need to understand that in ordination, you have to be set there by God, and because a person is set in place, by position, doesn’t mean they are anointed. There are a lot of times God will allow the wicked to reign just to fulfill His will. Not necessarily anointed per se as we view anointed, but they become anointed by God to do what they do. They may be a king or a leader that doesn’t even name the name of your God, but God has set them there and there’s nothing you can do about it.
